Naked Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Not sure about this one folks...

I love trying out new shampoos, especially when they're on offer. I picked up naked shine at Boots about a month ago intrigued by the fact it's cheaper than the organix brand and still fairly natural. Sometimes it's just hit and miss. Find out whether or not this was a hit or a miss... :)

Now there are several types of shampoo in this brand (like there is with most brands) they have one specifically for colored hair, dry hair, and normal hair. I picked out the one I figured my hair would most benefit from: honey & mallow Hydrating Shampoo and buttermilk & green tea Hydrating Conditioner. They both smell great. It took me a couple of washes to realize that I did not like this shampoo. The conditioner is grand but the shampoo makes my hair feel like it has a heavy residue on it. At first I thought, maybe I just didn't wash it all the way out, as I have very thick hair...but...no, can't be possible. I've washed it several times with this shampoo with always the same result: hair that just feels weird and heavy. I've had this same problem with other shampoos particularly those that aim to make your hair shiny or "stronger" I'm having the same issue with one of the Herbal Essences shampoos. So I splurged on my favorite organix coconut shampoo (I'll review this soon). As I said before the conditioner is grand. I use it on it's own and it washes out fine without leaving any weird feeling behind.

Have you tried this brand? Have you ever had the weird hair experiences I've had with any shampoos?

  1. The latest new item I tried is Aussie Beach mate - reviewed it on my blog. I LOVED it, great product - cleans like a dream, smells amazing and leaves hair super soft and silky

  3. I think that just the scent/ label of the shampoo would have made me purchase it! Honey and mallow! Green tea and buttermilk!
I havent had any results like that with shampoo, which makes me think I have low standards ...

    1. I'm pretty picky with shampoos. I thought these would be good, but the shampoo just made my hair feel weird. It made my hair feel like i didn't wash it all out or something. Hated it. The absolute best shampoo I've ever used has been by Organix. I'll do a review on that soon enough.
